We are so grateful to Jackie, Nicole, Emily and th We are so grateful to Jackie, Nicole, Emily and the entire team at Eramosa Physiotherapy Associates for the $3,500 donation from their Menopause Mixer on Thursday. This women's health education initiative is part of their Kegals & Cocktails series that also gave proceeds to WIC last year. How generous and we so appreciate it! 💜💜💜
A former volunteer of ours, Megan, was one of the lucky winners of our 'Smash the Patriarchy' argyle socks. So many other fun door prizes!
Three speakers educated and entertained with important information to share. The amazing vendors, drinks, snacks, desserts, samples and more made it a wonderful evening for promoting positive and empowered women's mid-life health. Congratulations @eramosaphysiotherapy!

Did you know that one of the ways we support women Did you know that one of the ways we support women through our Transitional and Housing Support Program is to provide the household items that they left behind?
We want them to be comfortable in their new home without the worry and expense of setting up an entire household.
Clients are provided with a long list of the usual items (a kettle, toilet brush, broom, bedsheets and so on) and have the chance to check off what they are missing.
Most of these items were donated by generous community members (thank you, thank you, thank you!), but we will also head out shopping to fill the gaps for our clients.
Shown here is Jennifer Davies, who manages our THSP, fulfilling a client’s checklist.

Our Food & Nutritional Counsellor Jen is heading i Our Food & Nutritional Counsellor Jen is heading into retirement, but spent many years in the kitchen of Marianne's Place, cooking and having conversations with the women who have stayed there.
We asked her what she would take away from her time at Marianne's Place. Here's what she had to say.
Big thanks to Jen for everything and we wish her all the best of luck on her newest adventures 💜

Domestic violence and animal abuse often coincide, Domestic violence and animal abuse often coincide, and having animals can create extra challenges for people leaving violence.
We're so proud of our partnership with the Guelph Humane Society and Community Veterinary Outreach, which lets us offer temporary emergency foster care for our clients' pets when our clients come to stay at Marianne's Place.
If you and your animal friend(s) are experiencing violence, call us. We can help with safety planning for pets and livestock.

We got the most generous gift from Mrs. S at the G-W WIC office yesterday! This kind of generosity doesn’t happen every day and it's such a boost to our spirits.
We are sailing into the weekend with a lot of gratitude in our hearts. And it isn't the first time this donor has shown her support either - it's her 8th donation. Incredible!
Thank you, Mrs. S, for sticking with and continuing to believe in a Guelph-Wellington free of gender-based violence.
