Thank you for taking an interest in the public education available from Guelph-Wellington Women in Crisis.

Our Public Educator works with other staff and volunteers to co-facilitate workshops, professional development trainings, discussions and engage participants in proactive prevention violence-prevention initiatives.

G-W Women in Crisis works with a variety of audiences, and we always welcome new participants!

G-W Women in Crisis is dedicated to providing programming that is informed by an anti-racist, anti-oppressive and intersectional lens that reflects the diversity of our community. We provide educational programming for:

  • Those of all ages, gender-identities, races, sexual orientations, cultures, ethnicities and abilities
  • Parents and Guardians
  • Children’s Groups, Teen Groups, Community Groups and other Special interest groups
  • Elementary, Secondary, and Post-Secondary Educational Institutions; both Private and Public
  • Employers and Employees
  • Social clubs and other organized groups

We work with all sectors: manufacturing, production, medical, legal, commercial, education, spiritual, financial, correctional, rehabilitation, treatment, social services and an assortment of others. We have provided educational sessions with:

  • Board Members
  • Employees
  • Managers
  • Corporations
  • Clients
  • Unions
  • And other members at all levels

Prevention of violence requires us to critically examine the social, cultural, and historical dimensions of violence, encourage individuals to deconstruct current systems of oppression.

Depending on the request, public education programs are tailored for different audiences.  Content and materials are made age appropriate and accessible. Similarly, G-W Women in Crisis can assure that academic lesson plans are designed to meet desired Ontario Curriculum expectations or specific program goals.

Honorariums and donations to Public Education are always welcomed and appreciated.
