Guelph-Wellington Women in Crisis would not be able to carry out the work we do without the assistance of our many dedicated volunteers. Each year volunteers donate thousands of hours to help make a difference. We are committed to ensuring that G-W Women in Crisis volunteers have a rewarding experience and that their skills and commitment are valued.
How to apply
Women in Crisis is in the very fortunate position of receiving many more application than we have positions available. All applications are screened by the Volunteer Program Manager and those that have the skills, experience and time availability that we are looking for will be contacted to attend our volunteer training. Others will be notified by email that there are no suitable positions currently available and your application will be kept on file for 6 months.
All potential volunteers must successfully complete our 16-hour volunteer training course that covers the dynamics of Intimate partner violence, woman abuse, sexual violence and human trafficking. This training also introduces the new volunteers to the various programs available at Guelph-Wellington Women in Crisis.
