Take Back the Night Guelph-Wellington 2021
September 16 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm
Take Back The Night is the earliest worldwide effort to combat sexual violence and violence against women.
It is estimated that 1 in 3 women will experience sexual violence in their lifetime. Indigenous women, women of colour, women with disabilities and gender-diverse and 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals experience the highest rates of sexual violence.
Since 1987, Guelph-Wellington Women in Crisis has been hosting an annual Take Back the Night to spark conversations and community solidarity to end gender-based violence.
This year’s Take Back the Night event will be going virtual on September 16th at 6:30pm on Facebook Live to deliver you a night of performances and powerful words from community activists, survivors and allies. Please visit the livestream event link here and make sure you select “interested” or “going” to get the notification when we go live!
Please join us in being part of the solution in ending sexual violence in our communities and beyond and please share to help us spread the word!
